Maria Serravalle is a Business Development Manager for Neighborhood and Community Lending at Bank of America. She manages the Connect to Own relationships on the east coast. Connect to Own program offers tools and resources to prospective home buyers and real estate professionals. This interaction allows homeownership education counselors, real estate professionals, builders and lending officers to come together to provide sustainable homeownership solutions for clients. Maria supports Bank of America’s $15B Community Homeownership Commitment® aimed at helping more than 60,000 individuals and families to purchase a home. It helps low- and moderate-income home buyers across the country begin to build their personal wealth and family legacy through the power of
homeownership. Over the last ten years, Maria has focused on educating her community on financial education as a key to sustainable homeownership with a focus on wealth building. Her degree in accounting and role as a national HUD counselor during the mortgage default crisis helped her define her career in real estate with an emphasis on affordable lending.
